About the Job
The Activities Director plans and oversees recreational events and programs. The Activities Director creates and leads activities like arts and crafts, music, dance, and sports to develop our resident’s social skills and promote active healthy lifestyles. Activities Director job duties include designing activities programs, training and managing assistants and other staff, interacting with patients, and providing first aid.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Certification by the National Certification Council for Activity Professionals
- Previous experience in Recreational Planning and Development in a health care setting
- A genuine interest in working closely with the geriatric population and their families
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and planning skills, as well as the ability to lead and manage others
