About the Job
DMBA is looking for a Health Actuarial Analyst to work on financial reporting and pricing within our actuarial services team, with an expected start date in January 2025.
We are looking for a talented and self-motivated team player who will support our financial reporting, experience monitoring, and health plan pricing functions. This role supports our goal to ensure the long-term effectiveness and financial vitality of our company's programs. This role would help provide information in a way that is timely, clear, innovative, and insightful. DMBA administers various financial and welfare benefit plans for the affiliated entities of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Our "customers" are limited to its participating employers, schools, and missionary department. DMBA is a stable, non-profit Utah benefit administrator which values trust, respect, unity, and excellence.
The Health Actuarial Analyst

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a field with a strong math/statistics emphasis
- 0-4 years actuarial experience
- The successful completion of 2 or more actuarial exams
- Ability to clearly communicate technical results to a non-technical audience, both verbally and in writing
- Excellent quantitative, analytical and problem solving skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Experience using a statistical programming language (e.g., R, Python, SAS, Stata, MATLAB, etc.)
Desired:
- Experience in health, dental, or other welfare actuarial work (pricing, reserving, provider contracting, experience monitoring, etc.)
- Knowledge of SQL and relational databases
- Knowledge of employee benefits
