I am the medical director at Memorial Health University Medical Center, in charming Savannah, Georgia. Memorial Health UMC offers several residency programs, including an internal medicine program; thus, many hospitalists on our team have completed their residency here. Their decision to remain with us following the completion of their residency underscores the strength of our work ethic, collaborative spirit, and organizational culture. All our physicians are dedicated and motivated to provide the best standard of care to the people of Southeast Georgia and its multiple surrounding counties. People

• Our team comprises 30 physicians and seven APPs, including a dedicated nocturnist team.
• We are supported by Sound’s own clinical performance nurses, program managers, and coordinators.
• Our clinicians bring diverse geographic, educational, and training backgrounds who lean on and learn from each other in their approach to patient care.
• We have a team-oriented approach with other hospital department leaders and managers who are eager to offer help to assist in our practice.
• We value providers who are team players and are comfortable leading a treatment team for each patient.

Practice

• Memorial Health University Medical Center is an established tertiary care hospital that receives transfers from all surrounding counties and across state lines.
• We have day and swing admitters throughout the day, as well as dedicated nocturnists.
• There is a resident-led MET/RRT team, and hospital medicine does not respond to codes.
• The hospital has a closed ICU with a separate intensivist group. We do not require procedures however, we are welcome to maintain privileges.
• We’re looking for a 4p-4a APP to help with admissions and cross-coverage calls working with 2 nocturnist doctors/night.
• Our EMR is Epic with access to our internal informatics platform.
