Description:
Responsible for the supervision of clinical interns, including working one-on-one, while overseeing the care , planning and treatment of patients and on-call for campus clinics (UHS/BNCC). This position is 4-8 hours per week and on-call as needed. Generally shifts are 4 hours in length; shifts are Monday afternoon 1-5 and Monday evening 5:30-9:30, with on-call as needed being morning, afternoons, evenings and Saturdays.
Duties:
1. While working one on one with AOM interns; discuss, guide and approve intern's diagnosis, treatment
strategy, and execution while assuring high quality patient care and education.
2. Confirm all diagnostic indicators, point locations, needle placement, and accessory techniques
3. Assess student clinical competencies as outlined in the AOM clinic policy manual, including timely
submission of documentation and student assessment. Must meet all expectations, follow appropriate
workflow processes and documentation requirements as outline.
4. Must be willing to participate in Faculty trainings and regular meetings, use E.H.R. systems.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Licensed Acupuncturist in State of Minnesota
• Minimum of 36 months of clinical experience in the field
• Oriental Medicine degree and/or Herbal Certification
• College level teaching experience or clinical supervision, preferred
• Microsoft Word and Excel experience helpful
