Department Summary

The Department of Mechanical Engineering prepares students for a career in the ever-growing fields of construction engineering, energy, and engineering management. Undergraduates who choose to pursue a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering will combine fundamentals of mechanical engineering with broad specialization on subjects related to construction, energy, and engineering management. For graduate students, our programs will offer opportunities to learn fundamental and applied knowledge compatible with all areas of mechanical, construction, and energy engineering. We are seeking adjunct instructors for courses offered in all areas within the department.

Position Overview

The Department of Mechanical Engineering seeks qualified individuals for its Adjunct Instructor pool and welcomes applicants at any time. This posting is for the Fall 2024, Spring 2025 and Summer 2025 semesters. The specific courses involved may vary from semester to semester and openings to teach these courses develop on a periodic basis, depending on department teaching needs. The anticipated need is for Adjunct Instructors whose duties may include but are not limited to teaching the following courses: Thermos 1 ; Programming MEE; Systems, Dynamics & Control Geo Thermal Heat Pumps; Automotive Manufacturing; Mechanics 1 (Statics); Mechanics 3 (Materials); Oil & Gas; Analytical Methods, Feedback Control Systems; Advanced Math Method FEA; Principles of HVAC; Alt Energy, Construction & Engineering Management.

Minimum Qualifications

Masters in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field.

Preferred Qualifications

PhD in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field.
