Department Summary
UNT’s Women’s & Gender Studies Program centers intersectional education, research, and advocacy through a multi-disciplinary, integrative, theoretically diverse curriculum at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The program houses growing undergraduate minors in Women’s & Gender Studies and LGBTQ Studies, in addition to a master’s degree in Women’s & Gender Studies that emphasizes global perspectives on gender, sexuality, and cultural identity.
Position Overview
The Women's and Gender Studies Program seeks qualified individuals for its Adjunct Instructor pool and welcomes applicants at any time. This posting is for the Spring 2025 and Summer 2025 semesters. The specific courses involved may vary from semester to semester and openings to teach these courses develop on a periodic basis, depending on department teaching needs.
Anticipated Needs:
· Introduction to Women's & Gender Studies (undergraduate)
· Introduction to LGBTQ Studies (undergraduate)
· Feminist Foundations (upper-level undergraduate)
· Gender & Popular Culture (upper-level undergraduate)
Minimum Qualifications
MA or MS in Women's and Gender Studies or closely related field
