Job Summary: Under direct supervision of Owner and Business Development Director. This position provides administrative support to various departments throughout the company. A major portion of this work will be driving a company vehicle to deliver bid proposals to various locations throughout WA State. This highly critical work deals in an environment bidding high dollar construction projects. Other divisions that could be supported would be Human Resources, Project Management, and Accounting.
Essential Responsibilities
+ Compile data and coordinate related work between the Estimating Team and Contract Manager.
+ Answer telephones and route calls appropriately.
+ Deliver project bids and attend bid openings.
+ Assist with small works rosters applications, quote boxes, and bid envelopes.
+ Assist with obtaining/completing bid documents, bonds, and insurance quotes for projects the company intends to bid.
+ Support estimating team by soliciting sub bids and supplier quotes as well as updating and managing sub/supplier lists.
+ Check for quotes through e-mail, fax, print, save to the shared folder and distribute to bid boxes.
+ Check for project addendums, keep estimators informed, and bids updated with any new information.
+ Processing information, organizing, planning, and prioritizing work. Discuss with coworkers to coordinate work priorities and task.
+ Maintain and update filing, inventory, mailing, and database systems, either manually or using a computer. Mail contracts or other pertaining documentation.
+ Operate office machines, such as photocopiers and scanners, facsimile machines, voice mail systems, and computers.
+ Maintain front desk appearance and route mail/packages to departments.

+ High level of professionalism.
+ Communication - verbal and written, including numeric math and penmanship.
+ Works well under stressful time crunches.
+ Strong attention to detail
+ Ability to drive long distances with traffic in a company provided vehicle.
+ Data entry and web-based research.
+ Exceedingly organized and ability to deliver time sensitive skills managing one's own workload.
+ Ability to understand working assignments and administrative processes.
+ Experience with Microsoft Office suite, Adobe and/or Bluebeam.
+ Ability to perform various and diverse duties to be classified in any specific office clerical occupation.
Education & Experience:
+ Business Degree preferred - appropriate experience sufficient.
+ Fundamental knowledge of construction field and bid process preferred.
+ Valid Washington State Driver license with excellent driving record.
+ Experience in high pressure positions is preferred.
Compensation Range : The salary range includes the minimum, midpoint, and maximum base salary values. A candidate's offer can vary depending on differentiating factors, including but not limited to education, training, or experience.
Non-Exempt Hourly $19.00 - $28.00 per hour DOE
Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand, as necessary. This position travels for bid openings from Ferndale to Bellevue and east to Yakima area.
Benefits:
After completing the company's orientation period and Benefit required work hours attained; Interwest Construction Inc. pays 80% of employee Medical and 50% of family premium. Company pays 100% employee premium and 50% family premium for Dental and Vision. After 90 days of employment 401k Retirement eligible. Paid time off agreed upon at start of employment.
