Provides secretarial and clerical support for PRMC General Hospital under the direction of the designated department.

Other information:
High school plus specialized, short-term training in the operation of computers and other office machines. Minimum 1 year relevant experience. Ability to compile data, format reports and graphs. Must be able to multi-task.

Responsibilities:
*Verifies insurance on ALL clients and payers and maintains authorization records.
*Assists clinical coordinator with staff schedules and changes.
*Performs a wide variety of general and specific typing assignments including reports, memos, manuals, policies, etc.
*Maintains department specific record keeping, logs, statistics or databases.
*Gathers information and statistics for the preparation of reports.
*Retrieves information files as required. Maintains record keeping and filing systems (both electronically and physically) in accordance with departmental system. Classifies, sorts and files records, correspondence and other documents accordingly. Purges files in accordance with policy.
*Answers telephones, routes callers, takes and relays messages and provides routine information to callers.
*Makes copies and sends fax transmittals as requested by clinical staff. Assists with equipment usage, copiers and fax machines.
*Schedules and logs meetings and appointments as requested.
*Orders and maintains office and clinical supplies for department with supervisor approval.
*Provides back up support as needed or requested for other administrative staff support.
*Performs department specific duties as assigned.
*Linen dispersement & ordering
*Product supply ordering for department
*Occasional therapist assists PRN with patients under direct supervision only
* Maintaining dept logs for clinical areas
*Maintaining & cleaning hydrolaters in clinical areas
*Daily clinic clean up if necessary
