About the Job
Part-Time Administrative Aide
The Town of Windsor, CT is accepting applications for a part-time Administrative Aide to work approximately 20 to 25 hours weekly in the Public Works Department.
Your typical work activities will include but not limited to:
- Providing customer service, both in-person and phone calls, to the public
- Assisting with Payroll for the department
- Maintaining office records
- Invoice processing
- Typing and data entry
- Act as backup to the secretary for taking minutes at the Public Building Commission meetings held on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month in the evening
- Provide additional administrative support related to operations within assigned area of responsibility
Our ideal Candidate:
- Demonstrate excellent customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail, organizational and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently
- Knowledge of MS Office Suite
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two years of clerical experience required; or any equivalent combination of training and experience
- Successful completion of the Town of Windsor background screening process, which includes a criminal background check and a pre-employment drug screen including testing for marijuana.
Compensation and Schedule:
- Hourly rate: $18 – $19
- Schedule: Monday and Friday 7 am to 1:30 pm; and Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday – the hours are flexible
