LC State invites applications for the position of Administrative Assistant 2.Salary based on experience and qualifications: $17.67 - $18.85 per hourRequired Qualifications:Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, Publisher, and Outlook.Excellent customer service and public relations skills.Knowledge of office support functions including composing official correspondence, reports, and other complex documents.Experience storing, retrieving, compiling, and, summarizing information using database and spreadsheet software.Ability to work autonomously and within a fast-paced dynamic team group.Detail-oriented and able to complete time-sensitive tasks accurately and efficiently.Preferred Qualifications:Associate's degree from a regionally accredited college or university.Experience in Higher EducationExperience coordinating events that require complex arrangements.Demonstrated proficiency with monitoring and managing budget processes.The ability to maintain confidential information in accordance with FERPA.Responsibilities:This position will report directly to the Business & Computer Science Division Chair. The Administrative Assistant is responsible for all office support functions, including word processing, spreadsheets (Excel), electronic filing, composing various business documents, reception, gathering and compiling data, and budgets.The position will perform essential functions, including office management, budget maintenance, supervising Work study/IH, overseeing and coordinating the development of class schedules, assisting faculty and staff with travel arrangements, mentoring and providing guidance to student ambassadors, and coordinating communication and activities with distance faculty and staff. In addition, the position will coordinate technology requests for faculty and staff, create and assist with Division events, assist club advisors and officers with club accounts and events, attend training, and assist with student advising and recruitment. Finally, the position is often responsible for ensuring that assignments given to other staff/faculty by the division Chair are completed and timeliness is met.This position will perform a variety of professional and administrative duties that facilitate the day-to-day operations of the Business & Computer Science Division. Prepares, processes, and monitors budgets, project proposals, records, and invoices. Researches and compiles information for reports and presentations. Interprets, monitors, and analyzes information regarding operating policies and procedures. Resolves problems that have a significant impact on the overall goals of the department. Organizes division meetings and takes meeting minutes. Processes employee transactions, and may assist in investigating employee issues or concerns and in determining an appropriate course of action. Processes and oversees ordering of equipment and supplies.
