Grade 23, $42,585 annually; $43,664 at six months
and $47,001 with one year of satisfactory performance.

The Jackson County District Court is accepting applications for an administrative assistant (AA). This position is under the direct supervision of the District Court Judge and the Clerk of the District Court. This is a highly responsible, confidential administrative position.
Job duties: Duties under the supervision of the District Court Judge include organizing and managing case paperwork, maintaining the court’s calendar, scheduling proceedings and Zoom meetings, drafting and proofreading correspondence and other documents, and e-filing. The AA must courteously communicate with the public, attorneys, other court staff, and law-enforcement agencies.
Duties under the supervision of the Clerk of the District Court include duties needed in the District Court Clerk’s Office as determined by the Clerk of the District Court.
Professionalism and confidentiality are required in all aspects of this position.
Required education and experience: Skilled with computer technology (Microsoft applications and Zoom); excellent written and verbal communication skills, organizational skills, and interpersonal skills; ability to prioritize tasks effectively and meet deadlines. The position requires attention to detail, discretion, and teamwork. High school diploma or GED.
Preferred qualifications: Experience as an Administrative Assistant, legal secretary, or other court related experience.
