About the Job
Major/Essential Functions
- Receptionist for Whitacre College of Engineering Academic Office including: welcoming guests, answering phones, answering questions from students and guests, monitor general email box, and notifying staff of appointment arrivals.
- Updating/creating presentations for Academic Information Sessions, Red Raider Orientation, Select Tech/Connect Tech, TTU Preview, Raider Roadshow, Top Scholars, and lobby monitors.
- Travel preparation for Academic Office staff including booking flights, hotels, etc and submitting pre-approvals/expense reports through Chrome River system.
- Room scheduling for meetings and events.
- Assistance with event coordination including requesting quotes and preparing purchase orders, and preparing related event forms.
- Upkeep of common areas.
- Serve as backup for the Administrative Assistant for Services.
- Assist directors with maintaining their budgets.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience with TTU systems including TechBuy, Chrome River, Ad Astra, etc. Experience with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint,etc).
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to maintain a calm, positive, and professional demeanor at all times in a fast-paced environment.
