About the Job
The Environment & Development Department of the North Central Texas Council of Governments is seeking an Administrative Assistant to provide administrative and clerical support for the Department’s administrative and planning activities.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Composing, reviewing, formatting correspondence, presentations, meeting agenda items, documents, and reports
- Maintaining department calendars, scheduling meeting invites and assisting with the coordination of special events
- Copying, scanning, assembling, and distributing documents
- Assisting with monthly reporting including project costs and expense forms
- Maintaining databases
- Handling department mailouts and community information efforts
- Assisting with social media posts
Required Skills:
- Ability to operate a variety of office equipment
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Functional knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Detail-oriented, highly organized with an ability to manage multiple assignments/tasks and works well in a deadline-driven environment
Required Education and Experience:
- Work requires knowledge of a specific vocational, administrative, or technical nature that may be obtained with six-months/one year of advanced study or training past the high school equivalence
- At least one year of job-related experience
Compensation:
$25 per hour
FLSA: Non-Exempt
Officing:
This position will generally be located in-office however, hybrid work may be available on a limited basis
