Overview:
The Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support and research for multiple tasks of Basic Sciences Department.
Responsibilities:Provide administrative support for the Basic Sciences Department, but not limited to the following:
- Assists with general correspondence, memoranda, surveys, applications, scheduling appointments, meeting minutes, and testing
- Handles requests for assistance and potential questions; provides information and clarification
- Orders supplies for school
- Fields all phone requests
- Assists with letters and coordinates processing
- Assists with preparation of files
- Coordinates administration
- Takes minutes for assigned Committee Meetings.
- Assists with reports and maintains records
- Compiles and tabulates statistical information
- Provides liaison between departments
- Performs special projects and assignments as requested by Department Chair(s).
- Other duties as assigned
Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- 1-3 years administrative experience
Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Well organized
- Able to prioritize tasks
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Power Point, & Outlook
