Your day to day as a Administrative Assistant
As an Administrative Assistant in the Quality Living Options department at Developmental Disabilities Resource Center, you will play a vital role in providing diverse administrative support that enhances our mission in the non-profit sector. Your punctual and reliable attendance will be crucial as you navigate varied hours while effectively managing multiple priorities. Your ability to communicate professionally and appropriately will ensure seamless interaction with coworkers and supervisors. You will be responsible for tasks such as greeting visitors, answering phones, scheduling appointments, organizing communications, and maintaining filing systems. Adhering to HIPAA confidentiality requirements and other policies is essential as you handle sensitive information.

Are you the Administrative Assistant we're looking for?
To excel as an Administrative Assistant in the Quality Living Options department at Developmental Disabilities Resource Center, a blend of skills and experience is essential. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with a preference for candidates who have graduated from an accredited business school focused on office procedures. Ideally, you will have at least two years of experience in office procedures, billing, and record-keeping.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, along with familiarity with essential office equipment such as fax machines, scanners, and printers, is crucial. You should possess the ability to effectively and independently use all materials and equipment necessary for the position while adhering to safety and confidentiality standards. Strong communication skills are vital, allowing you to interact clearly over the phone and in writing.
Lastly, physical capabilities, including the ability to sit, stand, bend, and lift moderate weights, are essential to manage the dynamic demands of this role.
