Silver Lion Farms is seeking a detail-oriented Administrative Assistant/Administrator to provide administrative support for our greenhouse management team. This role is crucial for supporting efficient workflow management on-site and with our remote team and assisting leadership with tasks related to scheduling, procurement, asset tracking, employee training, and new hire onboarding.

This is a 100% onsite role.
Shifts are typically 7 am – 330 pm Monday- Friday at our campus, an hour north of Ely, Nevada.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Team Support:

• Collaborate with department heads to assess labor needs and project schedules.
• Create and assign employee schedules using our employee management software.
• Facilitate communication between greenhouse labor and management.
• Track daily employee activity and attendance on-site.
• Coordinate training efforts, including material preparation and record-keeping.
• Assist with safety and security administrative tasks.
• Conduct training for on-site staff.
• Support new hire onboarding and paperwork, including I-9 verification and audits as directed by People Operations.
• Manage miscellaneous company errands.
• Update and track our employee shuttle program logs, maintain signed policies, and oversee shuttle inventory.
• Assist with check-in of onsite visitors and guests.

Purchasing and Receiving:

• Serve as the communication link between on-site managers and the remote procurement department, assessing needs and tracking purchase requests.
• Track and forward receipts, Bills of Lading, and invoices to our accounting department.

Company Assets and Maintenance Tracking:

• Work closely with the management team to track company assets, including greenhouse equipment and employee IT assets (phones, computers, etc.)
• Coordinate setup for new hires with IT, set up and test IT equipment, and coordinate employee housing items (house inventory, repairs, and cleaning.)
• Assist with tracking incident reports.
• Report weekly fuel levels to management.
• Collaborate with the management and accounting team for monthly and quarterly inventory reporting.

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED (Bachelor's degree preferred).
• 2 years of related work experience.
• Scheduling experience and familiarity with cross-department collaboration.
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Must be able to pass a criminal history background check.
• Valid driver's license for running errands.
• Experience with IT support, including computer and cell phone setup, is strongly preferred.

• Walking and Standing: Prolonged periods of walking and standing throughout the greenhouse.
• Lifting: Ability to lift and carry packages up to 25 pounds.
• Bending and Squatting: Regular bending and squatting for tasks and inspections.
• Reaching and Climbing: Reaching for high shelves and climbing ladders as needed.
• Manual Dexterity: Handling documents, operating equipment, and using computers.
• Environmental Exposure: Working in warm and humid greenhouse conditions around cannabis.
