ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT - Spherion

Spherion Staffing is supporting an environmental company in their search for an Administrative Assistant. This position will assist with administrative functions and support daily. We are seeking candidates with a friendly and professional demeanor who are reliable and seeking a long term role.

This position is a temp to hire opportunity.

Responsibilities:
-Fields telephone calls
-Types and formats memos, letters, forms/data sheets, documents, and reports (i.e., environmental supplements, jurisdictional determinations, monitoring reports, listed species survey reports, environmental resource permits, biological assessments, etc.)
-Prepares correspondence and recurring reports
-Schedules/coordinates meetings and/or conference calls
-Maintains list of matters in progress and ensures follow up
-Maintains organizational files and records
-Participates in Project Team meetings and Administrative Team meetings
-Ability to have an effective working relationship with all office staff, clients, other professionals, and public agency staff
-Makes local package deliveries and pick-ups
-Manages production room inventory
-Performs such other duties as may be assigned

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Skills:
-Good knowledge of business and office practices and procedures
-Valid Driver's License
-Team player
-Willingness to learn
-Good written and verbal communication skills
-Ability to multitask

Education:
High School

Experience:
1-4 years

Qualifications:
-High school or business school graduate (or holder of equivalency degree) or two years related work experience
-Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Acrobat Adobe (PDF), and video conferencing programs
-Types a minimum of 50 wpm
-Ability to pass a national background and drug screening.
