Position Summary:

The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for general office duties not limited to, ordering supplies, filing, mail/postage. Role would also be responsible for assisting DOF with issuing and maintaining records of PO’s, coding and posting invoices, maintaining statements, journaling receipts & deposits. Duties involving the reception desk will also fall under the responsibilities, such as answering phone calls, directing and following up on inquiries. 

 

This role will pay an hourly rate of $20.00 - $21.50.

Steven Tanger Center for the Performing Arts is a state-of-the-art facility with a seating capacity of approximately 3,000. The venue is located in downtown Greensboro at 300 N. Elm Street. Responsibilities:

• Greet clients and visitors with a positive, helpful attitude
• Assisting with a variety of administrative tasks including copying, faxing, taking notes, and making travel plans
• Preparing meeting and training rooms
• Answering phones in a professional manner, and routing calls as necessary
• Assisting colleagues with administrative tasks
• Performing ad-hoc administrative duties
• Answering, forwarding, and screening phone calls
• Sorting and distributing mail
• Provide excellent customer service
• Scheduling appointments

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 (two) years’ experience within a professional office setting

• Consistent, professional dress, and manner
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Good time management skills
• Experience with administrative and clerical procedures
• Able to contribute positively as part of a team, helping out with various tasks as required
