Facility: Valleywise Community Health Center - North Phoenix
Department: FQHC Clinic " North Phoenix
Schedule: Regular FT 40 Hours Per Week

Under the direction of the Director and or Manager, performs varied secretarial and administrative work requiring initiative and independent judgment. Incumbents work independently under general direction. Duties include but are not limited to scheduling patient appointments, answering phones and directing calls, communicating with all respective personnel, and communicating with the patient population, and payors. The incumbent will have contact with physician staff, communicate schedule changes, manage physician-patient ratios gather information, prepare reports, and maintain files.
Hourly Pay Range: $16.87 - $24.88

Education:
- Requires a high school diploma or GED.
- Associate's degree in business-related courses preferred.
Experience:
- Must have a minimum of one (1) year of Administrative Assistant related experience that demonstrates an understanding of the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Prefer experience in a hospital setting.
Certification/Licensure:
- You may be required to obtain a fingerprint clearance card if you work in an area that has been deemed to require one. If required to obtain, you must present the actual card within 90 days of applying for a fingerprint clearance card.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Must possess extensive computer skills and be proficient with MS Office suite such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio, and Access.
- Must possess good interpersonal and communication skills both verbally and in writing including knowledge of basic grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
- Requires excellent communication skills, the ability to work with professionals, and maintain confidentiality standards.
- Must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to meet designated deadlines are required.
- Must be able to work with a culturally diverse population.
- Must be able to remain calm and helpful in a crisis while adhering to and maintaining all Valleywise Health policies and procedures.
- Requires the ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English.
- Bilingual preferred.
- Creativity, initiative and independent thinking, and problem-solving skills are strongly preferred.
