Description
In this Administrative Assistant role, you will provide support to the team and patients of the Cornea and Uveitis clinic in Westwood. You will facilitate the communication between physicians and patients and ensure their needs are met. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
+ Check-in and check-out patients
+ Process co-payments
+ Respond or route patient messages
+ Obtain authorizations and referrals
+ Schedule appointments
+ Prepare patient billing
Salary Range: $25.60-$36.33 Hourly
Qualifications
quired:
+ One year experience working in a medical office including answering telephones, interacting with patients and familiarity with current billing practices including governmental plans.
+ One year of experience scheduling patient appointments in computerized appointment scheduling system.
+ Excellent interpersonal skills which promote pleasant and effective communications with patients, staff and doctors.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills
+ Flexible personality and ability to adapt to changing needs of department.
+ Ability to interact calmly and effectively in challenging situations.
Preferred
+ Experience registering patients in UCLA Encounter Registration system.
+ Experience working in a teaching environment.
+ Experience working in an Ophthalmology practice.
