The Administrative Assistant IP Dialysis is responsible for providing support at the unit level by maintaining organized records, coordinating information with nursing, dietitians, social workers, and billing services as well as facility administration, laboratories, and regulatory agencies. The Administrative Assistant will assist and support the unit management team in achieving high standards for patient satisfaction, staff development, business management, teamwork, culture, and employee satisfaction.
He/she is responsible for understanding, supporting, and implementing the mission, values, and policies of the company. He/she will also assist in the maintenance of a safe and clean working environment.
Responsibilities:- Maintains and updates any necessary records and reports needed for daily unit functioning
- Leads new patient admission process, including verifying and requesting all necessary
information is obtained and entered into electronic medical records. - Send necessary emails to verify patients’ insurance and assists with necessary plan authorization
- Accurately reports data and follows established timeframes for EQRS (Formerly CROWNWeb)
submissions - Maintains confidentiality and completes documentation as required
- 0Answers telephones appropriately, accurately takes messages, and promptly communicates
messages to the appropriate people - Assists management team by typing, editing, and distributing memos and reports as directed
- Takes meeting minutes, notes for QAPI and other meetings
- Performs inventory and assists with ordering and stocking of supplies
- Opens, sorts, and delivers mail appropriately
- Makes photocopies appropriately
- Assists in arranging transportation, appointments, and referrals for patients as necessary
- Communicates appropriately with unit personnel, patients, and family
- Completes monthly reports accurately and in timely Actively participates in unit staff
meetings/in-services, as appropriate. - Reports all new or unusual incidents, information, complaints, or problems to hospital
administration, using proper channels of communication - Follows safety guidelines for self, patients, visitors, and employees, and follows universal
infection control precautions and procedures. - Assists in maintaining a neat, orderly, and well-stocked stockroom

Physical Demands & Working Conditions
1. Long periods of sitting at a desk performing light physical work, including working at a
computer
2. Light physical work involving lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.
3. Visual acuity to prepare and read written material
4. Audio acuity to listen attentively and accurately
5. Ability to work overtime as needed to complete general responsibilities to meet the needs of the
unit
6. Ability to travel when necessary to meet the needs of the unit

Qualifications:- High School Diploma
- Secretarial experience, preferably in a medical
- Knowledge of computer spreadsheets, word processing, and Microsoft Office
- Organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Valid driver's license
