Based at the College of Osteopathic Medicine in Jonesboro, Arkansas, the Administrative Assistant reports to the Associate Professor and Chair of Clinical Specialties.
Responsibilities:
Relieves supervisor of routine duties and completes ongoing tasks including:
- Originating written materials, transcribing dictation
- Scheduling and coordinating calendar and special events
- Maintaining files and databases
- Originating purchases and processing invoices
- Monitoring multiple budgets
- Assists with projects
- Answer questions, resolves problems
- Takes meeting minutes
- Maintains information for department and/or school
- Processes forms
- Liaison between students and faculty
- General administrative duties assigned by supervisor
- With a high school diploma as the highest level degree, 2-3 years of Administrative support experience are required.
- With an associates degree or higher as the highest level degree, 1-2 years of Administrative support experience are required.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, good computer skills, and solid administrative/organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and have good judgement.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Strong computer skills with the ability to organize virtual meetings, use of Zoom, Teams
- Ability to quickly learn new systems/software packages.
