Summary:
The retail warehouse assistant maintains all records of purchase orders and the organization of orders still pending to be processed, he/she assist the retail warehouse supervisor on all job duties including giving direction to all retail clerks on a daily basis.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Sort and brings in daily shipment into receiving room.
- Matches packing slips with Purchase Orders written by outlets.
- Receive and print tags for all merchandise.
- Maintains organization of all Purchase Orders open and/or closed.
- Files all closed orders in appropriate file.
- Manages organization of problem pile area and keeps an accurate list.
- Follows up with outlets on time sensitive information needed to receive orders in the system.
- Sends accurate list of orders pending processing to all outlets.
- Contact vendors with any discrepancy issues.
- Packs up defective items for return, creates shipping labels, and mails items.
- Assists with scanning backups to accounts payable for payment.
Qualifications
Previous retail warehouse experience.
Prior receiving, delivery and inventory experience preferred.
Education and/or Experience
Any combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. College degree preferred. Computer knowledge a must, with knowledge of Birchstreet, Eatec, or a similar procurement system. Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word.
Language Skills
Must be able to comprehend the English language in order to communicate with co-workers and fully understand job assignments.
Reasoning Ability
Very detail oriented and consistently able to meet critical deadlines.

Attendance, Appearance and Conduct:
Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by Ocean Reef Club from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Associates with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry and report deadlines, associate may be required to work varying schedules to meet the business needs of the Club and report deadlines.
Proper grooming is required by all associates and is described in detail in the Associates Handbook. Associates should review this policy and make sure that at all times they present themselves for shifts looking clean, neat and professional.
As a condition of employment, all associates agree to fully comply with Ocean Reef Club rules and regulations for the safe and efficient operation of Club facilities. Associates who violate Club rules and regulations will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
