Non-Profit School in Riviera Beach has an opening for an Administrative Assistant. This is a DIRECT HIRE position, available immediately.
- 7:30-4:00PM, M - F
- $40,000/yr.
- 226 days worked per year
- All holidays off
- 1 week off during Thanksgiving
- 2 weeks off during Winter Holidays

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Function as lead administrative support and contact for the school CEO/Founder.
- Work collaboratively with intra- and interdepartmental management to ascertain needs and requirements specific to the department, division, or area of assignment.
- Assist CEO/Founder in various projects such as T.V. program.
- Perform high-level administrative, technical and professional work in training, motivating, managing and supervising office staff in daily office administration.
- Assist in getting students as guests for the T.V. show.
- Gather, interpret and prepare data for studies, reports and recommendations.
- Provide consultation and advisement to management and staff with respect to areas of responsibility, including presenting information as needed.
- Maintain and professionally communicate current knowledge and information regarding district policies, programs, processes and procedures to staff and the public.
- Keep calendar and appointment for CEO.
- Answer the telephone, respond to inquiries and provide public information based on extensive knowledge of programs and activities applicable to the assigned area.
- Establish and adhere to guidelines and procedures for administrative support
- protocols, e.g., processing correspondence, maintaining hard copy and electronic file systems, maintaining work order and safety records and managing records retention.
- Compose moderately to highly complex correspondence for management signature(s).
- Maintain and update department/division/area resources, e.g., policies, programs and procedures, manuals, handbooks and newsletters.
- Open mail for CEO/Founder. Able to write letters and proof read.
- Coordinate various activities and initiatives, e.g., preparations for workshops, meetings, seminars and presentations for CEO/Founder.
- Make decisions in the absence of CEO/Founder within established guidelines and scope of authority.
- Attend, participate and assist with various meetings, events and social functions as requested.
- Maintain confidentiality and discretion with respect to department/division/area and related district business matters, including confidential matters applicable to functional areas of responsibility.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Two or more years of college.
3. Minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in current office practices and procedures.
4. Demonstrated knowledge of current computing technologies and software applications appropriate to the position’s job responsibilities, including accurate keyboard speed of 55 words per minute.
5. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
6. Ability to work and deal effectively with diverse groups, including school center staff, other employees and departments and the general public.
7. Ability to exercise a high level of independent judgment and discretion.
8. Ability to plan, organize and supervise assigned administrative support staff.
Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $40,000.00 - $40,000.00 Per Year
