Qualifications: High School Diploma
Purpose of the Position: To assist the building administration with the daily tasks to provide a smooth and efficiently run school. To assist the building administration in all aspects of the operation of the school.
Responsibilities:
- Places and receives phone calls and messages.
- Oversees all student records and registers all new students. Including end of year labels for permanent records and OLSTAT labels. Maintains permanent records and processes record requests.
- Assists with bus issues and tracks students transportation changes.
- Records and tracks attendance, including SDS. Prepares attendance letters daily.
- Oversees sign in and sign out for parents, volunteers, students and staff.
- Maintains documentation for legal issues (ex: custodial) for students.
- Distributes mail.
- Maintains office machines for staff.
- Schedules special education testing and conferences.
- Prepares all student scheduling.
- Works with counselor on ISTEP preparation.
- Maintains all aspects of SDS including but not limited to: monthly updates, demographic updates, new students, remove students, prepare rollover for upcoming year.
- Responsible for awards program, including preparation. Also works on needy Children’s Project at Christmas.
- Report and distribute midterms and report cards.
- Prepare Honor Roll.
- Helps design and distribute yearbooks.
- Responsible for all State Reporting as assigned.
- Responsible for kindergarten registration.
- Prepares and distributes monthly menu and announcements.
- Assists with lunch, bus and nurse duties. Also reports any building issues to the maintenance staff.
- Tracks media release forms.
- The employee shall remain free of any alcohol or nonprescribed controlled substance in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the Corporation.
Any other duties as assigned by Administration.
