About the Job
Provides clerical support for the Vice President for Research for New York Medical College. The incumbent will also assist the Administrator with office functions.
Responsibilities:- Assist with overall administrative operations of the department and coordinating all activities within the department including scheduling meetings and conference calls; managing offsite meetings associated tasks (research locations, booking lodging, travel etc.); proofreading documents; preparing expense reports; provide coverage and support to leadership team as needed. Activities are further provided according to the needs of: OVPR, ORA and other units under OVPR.
- Assist in preparing travel reimbursement reports, ordering supplies, keeping track of office inventory.
- Answering phone calls, assists in business correspondences and communication with upper management and other employees.

Education requirement: Bachelor’s Degree required. Finance background preferred.
Technical/computer skills: Must have strong Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, Outlook, MS Teams. Must be able to utilize Zoom. Must be able to use iPad/iPhone applications, social media,
Prior experience: Working knowledge of research and STEM outreach, or social media and administrative experience is preferential.

• At least two years of related experience in a college or university or financial institution preferred.

Physical demands: Must be able to walk between multiple sites on campus and able to lift up to 40 pounds on occasion.
