Knapp Medical Center is an award-winning, not-for-profit hospital in Weslaco, Texas. With 227 beds, the community hospital specializes in emergency care, orthopedics, obstetrics and gynecology, wound care, surgery, cardiology, gastroenterology, critical care, and interventional radiology. Knapp serves as the only acute care hospital in the Mid-Valley area, as well as Weslaco's only Level III Trauma Center, Advanced Primary Stroke Center, and Level II Newborn Nursery. Knapp has been providing quality and compassionate healthcare to Mid-Valley residents for 60 years.  More than 300 physicians serve on the hospital's medical staff. The Administrative Assistant works with the Hospital Administrator/CEO, Administrative team members and department heads to ensure compliance with goals and objectives established by the hospital corporation. Communicate effectively, in writing, verbally, and via telephone, with all levels of personnel and visitors. Input and retrieve computerized data.
 

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
 
1. High School Diploma or Equivalent required; college degree preferred.
2. 1- 2 years secretarial experience preferred.
3. Must have strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to compose correspondence
4. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
5. Must exhibit a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
6. Additional languages preferred.
