Seeking candidate with experience in calendar management and customer service. Applicants with interest in or exposure to Plastic Surgery physician practices are encouraged to apply.
The Administrative Coordinator reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Independently performs high level administrative work to support busy, high profile plastic surgeons
- Maintains strong relationships with patients, internal providers and staff, external hospital departments, physician offices, and vendors
- Manages clinic templates and coordinates appointment alternatives for impacted patients
- Registers patients and coordinates appointments, including add-on patients
- Collects patient insurance information for medical patients and collects payments for cosmetic patients
- Uses understanding of insurance to complete prior authorizations for patient procedures
- Provides patient education information and/or materials as needed
- Screens and answers incoming inquiries by patients, providers, staff, and others related to all aspects of practice operations; escalates to other team members as needed
- Implements changes independently for areas of responsibility to improve workflow efficiency
- Works in a team with facial plastics nurses, physician assistants, and facial plastic surgeons
- Assists with plastic surgery website updates and coordination with plastic surgery vendors
- Supports department with other projects
- May perform other duties as assigned.
Required:
- Associates degree or equivalent relevant admin experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, PowerPoint and Excel.
- Ability to organize and think independently.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
Preferred:
- Bachelor of Arts degree or business equivalent.
- 5 years business experience.
