About the Job
Be a part of a world-class academic healthcare system, UChicago Medicine, as a Administrative Coordinator in our Operating Room.Here, you will assist our Operating Room team with miscellaneous office tasks such as online filing/uploading of documents, posting of flyers, photocopying, assembling packets/paperwork as well as surgical related administrative activities such as booking surgical cases using the charting system, Epic, answering emergency and non-emergency phone calls.

- Coordinates preparation, completion and general processing of all applicant and new hire

- Assists in monitoring the budget within established guidelines.
- Plans for long and short term provisions of supplies and equipment to meet the needs of the office of Nurse Recruitment
- Organizes and coordinates general flow of communication within the office of Nurse Recruitment
- Prepares routine documents including letters, memos, e-mails, reports and forms
- Processes internal transfer paperwork
Required Qualifications
- High School graduate or equivalent, College course work in business or health-care related field preferred
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to manage and sustain multiple projects as normally acquired through 3 years of work experience.
- Ability to communicate basic factual information and directions clearly and courteously in order to respond to incoming telephone calls, as normally acquired through working in a service oriented environment.
- Ability to use word processing software such as Microsoft Word at the intermediate level so as to produce routine correspondence; must have knowledge of arithmetic functions and ability to use spreadsheet software such as Microsoft Excel at the basic level to produce reports
- Ability to analyze and prioritize multiple tasking from a number of sources, as normally acquired through 3 years of work experience
- Excellent organizational, written communication, interpersonal skills and problem solving abilities required
- Ability to make decisions quickly on a range of tasks in a fast paced environment with constantly changing priorities

In this role, we anticipate that you will generally work approximately 40 hours per week. We anticipate that you will generally be scheduled to work the third shift, from approximately 6pm-10a and will be scheduled for on-call shifts. We anticipateyou will be scheduled to work 100% at the Hyde Park campus.
