Job Title: Administrative & Office Specialist I

Job Locations: 1701 High St suite 102 Portsmouth, Virginia 23704

Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:00AM – 4:30PM

Pay Rate: $16.00/hr.

Job Duties:

• Ensures that the medical records are organized, accurate and complete.
• Reviews medical forms and can file charts.
• Able to pull and prepare medical charts for clinic and staff.
• Filing the paperwork and reports of inpatients quickly and accurately.
• Safeguarding patient records and ensuring that everyone complies with the HIPAA standards.
• Transferring data into the facility’s main system database.
• Answer multi-line telephones.
• Other administrative duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Strong data entry skills.
• Knowledge of medical records release guidelines
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Attention to detail to ensure accuracy.
• Familiarity with medical terminology.
• Good time management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Able to work in a team setting.
• Experience working in a medical office is a plus.
