• Salary range is $65,000 to $75,000
• Clearance required - Secret

We are looking to hire full-time Administrative Specialist personnel to perform advisory and assistance services to the Air Force (AF) Space Safety mission at Kirtland Air Force Base in New Mexico. The position provides administrative services in support of the AF Safety Center.

Administrative Specialist should be:

• Knowledgeable of AF doctrine, policy, and regulation/instruction organization
• Knowledgeable of space-related activities within the AF and related connections to DoD space-related activities
• Knowledgeable of safety and surety concepts as applied within the AF

Provides technical, administrative, and operational leadership to assigned project or tasks:

• Tracks and reports to the Government the assigned tasks, tasks status, and level of task completion
• Coordinate Space Safety Journal articles
• Organizes safety council events and prepares personnel from various agencies for participation in inter-agency events and activities
• Prepares Headquarters Air Force-level requests and justification for current and future resourcing, as well as, required supporting documentation for resourcing-related activities
• Participates in and reports on the status of tasks in weekly Space Safety Division staff meetings
• Performs other duties as assigned to support the AF Space Safety mission.

Education

• BA/BA preferred, but not required

Qualifications/Certifications

• Clearance: Secret
• Proficient in MS Office
• Professional & Technical Writing Skills
• Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
• Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
• Minimum of 2 years of experience interacting with AF organizations at all levels; space-related organizations desired
