About the Position
The U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC) is addressing the most pressing challenges in the developing world through targeted financing solutions. Established in 2019, DFC aligns with American foreign policy by collaborating on projects that foster economic stability, safeguard sovereignty, and promote transparency. Its investments uphold rigorous U.S. business standards and prioritize environmental protection, human rights, and workers' rights.
As the development finance agency of the U.S. government, DFC mobilizes American private capital to tackle critical development issues while supporting U.S. foreign policy objectives. By partnering with the U.S. private sector, DFC helps establish a presence in emerging markets, generating revenue, jobs, and growth opportunities both domestically and internationally. To fulfill its mission, DFC offers various financial tools, including financing, loan guarantees, political risk insurance, support for private equity funds, and direct equity investments.
Dexis is recruiting for an Administrative Specialist to support the Office of the Chief Executive (OCE) and the Office of the Senior Vice President Operations (SVP) within the Development Finance Corporation (DFC) who will provide critical administrative support to the SVP and other high rank level senior executives in the organization.
Responsibilities
- Manage the SVP's agenda by organizing and prioritizing the high incoming flow of work, responding to and scheduling requests for meetings, invitations, and requests for participation at special events; booking official appointments and meetings; and maintaining a control and follow-up system to ensure timely response.
- Draft and proofread correspondence, reports, and other documents for the SVP office.
- Manage incoming and outgoing communications, including email, phone calls, and mail.
- Coordinate with other departments and stakeholders as needed.
- Assist with travel coordination and travel voucher processing for the office.
- Maintain records and databases, including tracking projects and deadlines.
- Processes internal Ethics clearances for speakers' participation at events or widely attended gatherings (WAG).
- Other administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 10 years' experience providing administrative support in a federal environment.
- Ability to take responsibility for multiple tasks/projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and grammatical skills.
- Candidate must be able to perform with minimal supervision in a high pace environment.
- Possess good judgment and be able to prioritize tasks to meet mission requirements.
- Demonstrate and apply attention to detail and flexibility in day-to-day work along with excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Fluency in Spanish or Portuguese
