Job Description
- Manage patient assistance program, including maintaining a medication supply closet and active/current log of medications.
- Collaborate with drug representatives and companies to obtain samples for client use.
- Complete Patient Assistance Paperwork as necessary.
- Dispose of expired medications in accordance with agency policy.
- Dispense medications to clients with medical provider approval.
- Answer telephones promptly and efficiently.
- Assist medical providers with medications.
- Manage the medication phone line, follow up on messages, and direct information to the appropriate staff members.
- Provide basic overviews of services to individuals.
- Review insurance, authorizations, and collect appropriate fees from clients.
- Review paperwork for completion and accuracy.
- Ensure Release of Information (ROI) forms are complete when providing information to outside agencies or individuals.
- Scan medical records into client files within the time frame established by the Office Manager and Center Director.
- Adhere to the Key Performance Indicators (KPI) guidelines established by the state of Georgia.
- Assist with Health and Safety duties as directed.
- Perform related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Two years of general office or administrative experience
- Note: Some positions may require a valid Georgia Driver's License.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 25/50 lbs.
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, push/pull, handle, reach, bend, twist, crawl, kneel, squat, climb (ladders or stairs), and perform overhead reaching.
