Position Summary:
Meet census goals by working with facility clinical team. Manage the facility customer flow, admissions process, referral management and admission sign-in, through post-admission. Responsible for maintaining targeted occupancy levels of the facility.
Qualifications
- Ideal candidate must be a skilled communicator, director and motivator
- Able to organize and prioritize many tasks effectively
- Long term care experience required
- Knowledge of Medicare and 3rd party billing
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Must be detail oriented and have excellent customer service skills
- Able to react to emergency situations appropriately when required
- Must be able to travel locally by personal automobile as required
Essential Functions: Exhibits ability to perform functions of providing the following.
- Follow up with all referrals in a timely manner.
- Schedule and conduct tours for customers, families, and referrals.
- In accordance with the Admission Sign-In policy and procedure, make sure all paperwork is signed and distributed appropriately
- Work closely with the Administrator and others involved to maintain consistent admissions, discharge and transfer meetings.
- Review performance statistics including customer flow, pending and lost inquiries, denials, hospital discharges and sales activity.
- Participate and assist in the coordination of presentations about the facility or other appropriate topics to hospitals, physicians, and other potential referral sources.
