Admissions and Enrollment Assistant - Student Sponsor Partners

The SSP Admissions and Enrollment Assistant will help the Director of Admissions establish and update our admissions standards, recruit and work with families to determine their eligibility, and assist in the admissions process. This position will help in all recruitment and admissions activities for each incoming class and for transfers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Recruitment/Processes

• Assist in all aspects of recruiting 300 - 400 incoming freshmen each year, completing the class by or before the January prior to the new school year.
• Help to identify and implement methods to improve and create efficiencies for admissions including early decision and tightening of processes.
• Contribute to strategic recruitment plans and help present regular updates to leadership.
• Track and analyze recruitment statistics and metrics on an ongoing basis.
• Manage content of marketing materials (flyers, brochures, emails).
• Support the Director of Admissions in the recruitment process by planning, coordinating, and overseeing promotional events, open houses, student interviews, and other admissions activities (i.e. office hours).
• Review and interpret student information including grades, test scores, and other criteria to determine eligibility for SSP.
• Coordinate process of informing students and their families of decisions.

Enrollment

• Support the Director of Admissions to ensure all accepted incoming freshmen are registered and enrolled at partner high schools.
• Update student handbook and parent/guardian permissions in partnership with the schools team and others as needed.
• Gather all needed information from accepted families ahead of the school year and activate their records on the case management platform.
• Maintain and manage student information and get well acquainted with students and families.
• Manage the metrics of student data by school; and ensure their enrollment is tracking successfully; (monitor any variable that can impede of their success)
• Advise the Director of Admissions to suspend and terminate students from our enrollment on the basis of the metrics provided by our P & P. Lateness, absences etc.

Transfers

• Assist in managing and troubleshooting all transfers review and enrollment issues.
• Make decisions independently regarding the same.

College Scholarship Application

• Lead the nominee selection and application review for the college Peter M. Flanigan Scholarship.

Manage relationships with Peter M. Flanigan Scholarship awardees, submit invoices and track scholarship funds, and provide semester reports to the scholarship donors
