SUMMARY: The Admissions Outreach Associate is responsible for recruiting at high schools and aviation related events to promote the advantages of attending California Aeronautic University. They schedule and conduct presentations in addition to attending events to inform prospective students about the University.
The Admissions Outreach Associate must uphold the philosophy and mission of California Aeronautical University while instilling positive and progressive attitude in all employees.
JOB REQUIREMENTS include but are not limited to the following:
COMPLIANCE:
•Responsible for compliance with all local, state, accreditation and federal regulations
•Ensure and maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
•Responsible for complete and accurate timekeeping.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
•Conduct all duties and responsibilities ethically and professionally;
•Conduct all communication consistent with company approved materials, scripts and guidelines;
•Ensure information and records resulting from all student communications are legibly documented in CVUE;
•Develop relationships that promote an awareness and interest in the University;
•Generate new inquires on a daily basis through outbound calls and community outreach;
•Conduct the discovery section of the career planning session using the approved script, listening and documenting all prospective student responses;
•Conduct the informational section of the career planning session using the approved script, presenting complete and accurate information regarding the University;
•Assess applicant’s interest, motivation and commitment for a recommendation of acceptance;
•Ensure accuracy and completion of all enrollment documents as appropriate by program;
•Prepare and present all applicant files to the Admissions Review Committee for acceptance or denial;
•Follow up with applicants to ensure ongoing commitment using phone, email, postcards and/or notes as appropriate;
•Complete activity reports as necessary including statistical reports and records;
•Maintain on-going relationships with prospective students, vocational rehabilitation counselors, social services, high school administrations, graduates, student body and staff;
•Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) from an accredited University or university required. At least one year experience in event planning and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Teaching experience preferred.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:
Ability to interact in a pleasant and professional manner with all types of people. Ability to work well under pressure, manage multiple priorities, set and meet deadlines and manage unexpected situations. Strong technology skills necessary.
TRAVEL DEMANDS:
Travel to various events and/or trainings may require overnight stays, and the number of nights is dictated by company and/or by the schedule of events. The employee must have the ability to travel to various locations as necessary. Must have vehicle suitable to safe and secure transportation.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business materials. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from prospective students, administrative supervisors, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to negotiate, solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where a high degree of regulations exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
