Essential Functions

• Responsible for intake functions for pre-admission, review of admission criteria and admission of patients with medical needs.
• Builds personal and trusting relationships with referral sources and department personnel.
• Maximizes clinical data collection to support the most appropriate admission MSDRG.
• Supervisors admissions department personnel.

Qualifications

• Two to four years of supervisory experience is preferred.
• Experience in third party reimbursement, DRGs, coding and PPS reimbursement is preferred.
• LTACH and Rehab hospital experience is preferred.
• Good organizational time management and communication skills are required.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities is required.

License and Certification

• Must hold current Texas RN or LPN license.
