We are currently seeking a passionate individual for the position of a Full Time Adult Home Care Aide. In this crucial role, you will be based at the Pleasant Gardens Adult Home, a 26-bed facility which provides 24-hour supervision, personal care, meals, housekeeping, laundry service, transportation, daily recreational activities, and medication management.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medication of residents
• Making resident's beds
• Assist residents to go to recreational activities
• Ensure residents are up, washed and dressed
• Serve and cook meals and snacks
• Change linens weekly or as needed
• Complete laundry of linens and clothes of residents
• Carry out housekeeping duties
• Ensure presence of resident's personal hygiene supplies
• Documentation of incidents in aide's book
• Completion of the daily census
• Adhere to cleaning schedule of bedrooms and all common living areas
• Check rooms and common living spaces for safety of residents
• Assist in other tasks as needed

REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma or Equivalency
• Experience working with elderly preferred
• Valid NYS Driver's License in good standing
• Physical Requirements: Sits, stands, stoops, squats, walks, and moves intermittently during work hours, may push or pull 10-15 pounds daily, may push or pull up to 50 pounds occasionally, drive agency vehicle
• Training in First Aid and CPR required
• Successful completion of annual Physical and PPD

Evening Shift 3pm-11pm Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday
