Release Planner & FRCB Champion

Contract Position
Release Planner job in Scottsdale, Arizona is available with
Moseley Technical Services Top Space & Defense company. In this job
you will assist in the management and operation of orbiting satellites
through the deployment of the MUOS ground system. The system includes
four ground station facilities positioned worldwide, each equipped with
three freestanding antennas that act like cellphone switches, receiving
radio calls relayed through the MUOS satellites. Provide the user-entry
and integrated ground segments for the system, which will replace the
military's current narrowband tactical communications system. Support
warfighters worldwide on patrol in hostile environments, whether urban,
canyon, mountains, or jungles - or even the Arctic Circle.
Responsibilities:
- Provide a familiar cellular phone-like service, allowing forces on
the ground to communicate directly with others at higher levels of
quality and much greater capacity than available through the current
system.
- Maintain the current live system, but added new capabilities,
enhancements and replaces end of life components.
- Work with a cross functional team responsible for oversight of the
development and test planning activities for a satellite
communications systems release
- Participate in the development of specific current release content
objectives as part of a longer-term Increment Planning activity
- Understand the release content objective impacts on each of the
contributing development teams
- Develop a high-level understanding of system functionality to
validate and communicate impacts to configuration Items
- Set up milestones, determine communication plan and top-level
release development schedule
- Oversee the execution of the development and testing of a release
across the multiple contributing teams by coordinating, progress
tracking and cross-team communication
- Ensure development schedules align for efficient use of system level
lab testing / integration resources
- Work with System Engineers to ensure alignment and adequacy of test
planning in order to help guarantee smooth System Test entry and
execution
- Interact with program management and development leads to
coordinate, negotiate, and update priorities
- Track and drive resolution when teams are running into progress
issues
- Communicate release development status in monthly reviews
- Communicate release content scope with deployment team and support
their planning activities
- Help identify process holes for lessons-learned improvement
opportunities
- Plan, test and release large software releases on schedule

Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizen with ability to obtain U.S. Department of Defense
Secret security clearance
- Bachelor's in Systems Engineering or STEM and 5+ years of
experience, or Master's degree and 3+ years of experience.
- Ability to Obtain Secret Clearance
- Experience setting up milestones, determining communication plan and
top level release development schedule
- Experience running internal and customer Failure Review Control
Board (FRCB) meetings
- Strong presentation and communications skills with experience in the
art of negotiation and the ability to meet challenging customer
requirements with win-win solutions
- Collaborative team player with the ability to provide technical
leadership and position others for success
- Agile experience preferred.
