About the Job
We are pleased to announce the opening for an Advanced Architecture Engineer, who will join our Engineering Services Division in Huntsville, AL and become part of our rapidly growing technology company operating in missile defense, cybersecurity, test range modernization, biotechnology, and space control marketspaces. In this role you will define and evaluate the Missile Defense System Trade capability space envelope, architectural performance metrics, and other high-level performance metrics as applicable.
Heres what youll be doing:
- Scope, execute, and document the results of Missile Defense System architecture trade studies as a member of the MDA Architecture Trades Group
- Support the development of Initial Requirements Documents, Architecture Requirements Packages, and other systems engineering artifacts related to the Missile Defense System, as applicable
- Support the development of alternative architecture concepts by addressing projected capability gaps, real-world threats, and intelligence community threat estimates
- Support the identification of best available M&S tools and analysis capabilities; develop M&S tools as necessary; and assist with advocacy for required M&S resources and tools
- Support the activities of the MDA/CA M&S Working Group; develop and deliver briefings that address applicable trade study efforts
- Engage with FFDRCs, UARCs, National Labs, and Service Labs to develop and apply Missile Defense System-level and Element-level M&S tools and asses top-level functional capabilities and the performance trade space
- Support the Architecture Trade Studies Division Chief in scoping and defining trade study methodologies, measures and deliverables
- Support the activities of the Architecture Working Group; provide, develop, and deliver briefings that address applicable trade study efforts; provide comments and review products developed by other Working Group members
- Coordinate trade study related activities and work products with teammates across the Architecture Design Directorate (MDA/CAD) and external MDA stakeholders as applicable
Heres what youll need:
You must have Masters Degree in a STEM field with 12+ years of experience working on missile defense-related or other DoD program / project. You must possess at least an active Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret. Lacking either of these disqualifies you from this job.
Other qualifications we hope you bring to the table:
- Skilled in MBSE such as Benchmark and CAMEO
- Have detailed knowledge of the Missile Defense System architecture and concepts, to include Command and Control networks
- Knowledge of Hypersonic weapons and their capabilities and limitations
- Ability to self-manage and initiate within team structure
- Ability to decompose complex problems to actionable elements
- Ability presenting complex information and concepts to Leaders at various levels
- Proficient with Microsoft Office® applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Working knowledge of MDA Systems Engineering processes and procedures
- Working knowledge of MDA organizational structure
