We are searching for a Talented Advanced Clinical Tech II – Emergency Dept (Paramedic)
* $1,500 New Hire Sign-On Bonus (Rehires Termed More than 1 year also eligible)*
Hours: 36hrs
Shift: Eve/Nights 3pm-3:30am other weekend and holiday.
Location: St. Luke’s Hospital – New Bedford, MA

**Available to regular status employees who are scheduled to work a minimum of 20 hours.

Responsibilities:Under direct nursing supervision of Emergency Department Manager or Designee, perform variety of duties in providing direct patient care including phlebotomy, EKG, minor invasive procedures and in accordance with physicians� orders. Provides certain ACLS level skills through identification, escalation and notification of clinical staff for lethal cardiac monitor rhythm alarms Under the direction of nursing may start upper extremity peripheral IVs. Conduct patient interviews and provide clerical support including but not limited to patient quick registration, data/order entry, minor transcription of orders, collation of medical records and other clerical duties as assigned.
Qualifications:- Equal to completion of four years of high school plus specialized courses and training.
- Minimum 2 years of working paramedic experience
- Current Paramedic License, BLS and ACLS certification required.
- PALS and MOAB certification required within one year of hire.
- Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.
