Advanced Manufacturing Application Leader
Our client is developing a next-generation Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system to enable a Model Based Enterprise (MBE) strategy across the corporation. PLM is a foundational platform in enabling this strategy. The Advanced Manufacturing Applications Leader will play a pivotal role in this transformation, collaborating and innovating with Engineering, Advanced Manufacturing, Quality, Manufacturing Operations, and senior leaders throughout the company to develop the next-generation processes, tools and techniques that will enable the strategic goals of the company. You will provide functional expertise to drive innovative solutions to delight customers and develop efficient solutions that maximize ease of getting work done and achieve program KPI's.
Collaborate with Program Leadership, Executive Sponsors, and Business partners to form the technical roadmap and digital transformation for Advanced Manufacturing.
Coordinate Functional groups to gather requirements and drive to-be business process with relevant stakeholders and subject matter experts.
Support product owners and developers in solution implementation.
Act as the IT Product Owner and solution architect for the Advanced/Digital Manufacturing enterprise platform. You will partner with business process owners as well as peer Enterprise IT teams for Agile based delivery of new solutions, upgrades to existing solutions, and system improvements.
Define technical solutions and provide oversite of PLM software development.
Engage with suppliers to assess roadmaps and alignment with key applications and strategies.
Provide Subject Matter Expertise and guidance for Business Partners, Enterprise Applications partners including Technologies & third-party service partners.
Build strong relationships with the key functional leaders and vendors to align IT system operations delivery with business strategy.
Research and source innovation ideas, explore with a focus on business benefit, customer delight and system efficiency/stability/sustainability.
Oversee functional analysis for Advanced/Digital Manufacturing Technology projects and enhancements.
Ensure adherence to standards for enhancements and projects, including functional design sign-off.

Strong communications skills and a demonstrated ability to gather facts and deliver succinct, sometimes complex, messages to business stakeholders and IT partners.
Strong facilitation, negotiation and problem-solving skills applied across matrixed internal and external teams.
Strong knowledge of model-based manufacturing strategies and functional knowledge of adjacent domains of MBE, such as MBD and MBSE
Ability to assess current state application framework, assess business needs (current and future), and apply critical thinking skills to develop solutions to business needs.
Strong Manufacturing based functional/configuration experience with applications such as: Teamcenter, Windchill, Enovia, Tecnomatix, and/or Delmia.
Strong knowledge of PLM, MES and ERP integrations and processes. Experience with Apriso MES and Oracle ERP a plus.
Third party management experience with strong knowledge of roles/responsibilities to drive maximum business benefit.
This is a full-time role that can be REMOTE or Hybrid from Davidson NC
The salary $145,000 - $165,000 plus benefits and bonus
Required Skills:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, Manufacturing, Computer Science (or similar discipline).
Master's Degree is a plus.
7+ years of experience and expertise with leading PLM concepts for Manufacturing Bills of Materials (MBOM), Bills of Process (BOP), process simulation, plant simulation, and integrations from PLM to manufacturing systems, such as quality systems, MES and ERP is required.
Other Relevant Experience:
Experience with business change with transformative technologies.
Experience with Advanced/Digital Manufacturing tools and technology (on prem and/or SaaS).
Experience with strategic road map execution and vendor management.
Experience leading diverse, global teams either directly or indirectly.
Experience partnering with business stakeholders.
Experience managing or overseeing IT projects.
Experience delivering solutions using Lean and Agile methodologies
Experience with business change with transformative technologies.
