As the Advanced Manufacturing Engineer, you will demonstrate clear written and verbal communication skills, promptly giving and following directions when collaborating. To thrive, you should be:
- Electrical Engineer – 10+ years of experience
- Focused on designing and operating advanced systems to ensure the efficient and accurate operation of electrical components within manufacturing processes.
CleanDesign Power Systems expects our ideal candidate to have:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred or a combination of education and equivalent experience
- 10+ years of experience manufacturing and developing electrical equipment, including high energy and power batteries, electric motor drives, and grid-connected inverters.
- Experience with manufacturing and production
- Experience with industrial controls and automation; programming experience desired
Your responsibilities as the Advanced Manufacturing Engineer will include:
- Set up, configure, and operate power electronics systems, including lithium-ion batteries, inverters, and DC converters.
- Specify, size, select components, and create related technical documentation, such as product specs and engineering change notices.
- Inspect, test, and evaluate incoming components to ensure conformance with product specifications and supervise prototype building and testing.
- Provide technical support for testing and commissioning products, including CleanDesign’s hybrid Energy Management System (hEMS).
- Collaborate with production crews and the construction/commissioning team to optimize product design, oversee installation, and implement engineering changes.
