Neonatology Advanced Practice Provider
The Section of Neonatology of the Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth- Hitchcock (CHaD) is seeking a full time Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our team of Neonatal Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, and Neonatologists. The Neonatal APPs staff a 30-bed Level III Intensive Care Nursery in Lebanon, NH, and a 10-bed Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Catholic Medical Center (CMC) in Manchester, NH.
The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at CMC is a unique nursery with an innovative philosophy of maternal/infant couplet care and parent participatory care from birth for infants born at 30 weeks gestation and older. The care model includes rooming in capacity for families throughout the hospital stay and is based on successful models of parent care in Sweden.
The Intensive Care Nursery in Lebanon is a full-service level III (no corrective cardiac surgery or ECMO) nursery with a pediatric residency and neonatology fellowship training program as well as a maternal-fetal medicine program providing referral service for the entire state of New Hampshire. Both the Intensive Care Nursery and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit are active participants in the Vermont-Oxford Network.
The ideal candidate will provide expert care across the spectrum of neonatal illnesses, from acute/critical to intermediate and chronic care, embracing the philosophy of family-centered care. The Neonatal APP will be responsible for the primary care of a caseload of patients, attending high-risk deliveries, serve as a team leader in neonatal resuscitations and team leader for critically ill neonatal transports.
Minimum Qualifications
• Completion of an accredited Graduate program as a PA or Neonatal APRN
• National certification as an NNP or PA-C
• Previous Neonatal experience preferred
Required Licensure/Certification
• Eligible for NH licensure as an APRN or PA
• Eligible for DEA registration
• Successful completion of NRP program
