Key Responsibilities:
+ Care for patients with variety of cancer types with an emphasis on palliative care.
+ New inpatient and outpatient consultations in collaboration with the attending physician.
+ Return patient visits for disease surveillance, survivorship and post radiation evaluation.
+ Care coordination, including imaging studies and aspects of radiation planning.
+ Management of inpatients with acute issues.
+ Patient education about the process of radiation care and side effects.
+ Management of side effects related to treatment.
+ Assessment of nutritional, psychosocial and palliative needs.
+ Assisting with patient care if enrolled in clinical trials.
+ Participation in regularly scheduled peer review conferences and possibly multi-disciplinary clinics.
+ Potential participation in procedures after relevant training.

Minimum Qualifications:
_Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire._
+ Physician Assistant (NCCPA) or Nurse Practitioner (AANP/AANC) Certification.
+ Ability to obtain Colorado practice license.
+ Ability to obtain prescriptive authority (DEA License).
Preferred Qualifications:
+ 2-5 years of experience in the clinical management of radiation oncology patients.
+ Experience assessing patients and developing care plans.
+ Experience teaching both professional and lay persons formally and informally.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
+ Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with multiple medical disciplines, patients and families.
+ Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with referring physicians, hospital support service personnel, patients, and their families.
+ Excellent bedside manner and physical exam skills
