Job Details:
We are seeking a qualified and dedicated Physician Assistant (PA) specializing in Vascular Surgery to join our esteemed healthcare team. As a key member of our vascular surgery team, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive patient care, both in the clinical and surgical settings. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with experienced vascular surgeons and contribute to the delivery of high-quality vascular care.
Responsibilities:
- Patient Evaluation and Management:
- Perform thorough patient assessments, including medical history reviews, physical examinations, and interpretation of diagnostic tests.
- Develop and implement comprehensive care plans for patients with vascular conditions.
- Collaborate with the vascular surgery team to determine the most appropriate course of treatment for each patient.
- Surgical Assistance:
- Assist vascular surgeons in a variety of surgical procedures, including endovascular and open surgeries.
- Prepare and position patients for surgery, ensuring adherence to sterile techniques.
- Monitor patients closely during procedures and provide necessary assistance to the surgical team.
- Pre- and Post-Operative Care:
- Manage pre-operative preparations, including patient education, consent, and coordination with other healthcare providers.
- Provide post-operative care, monitoring patients' recovery, and managing complications as needed.
- Educate patients and their families on post-operative care and rehabilitation.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, anesthesiologists, and radiologists, to optimize patient care.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families, addressing questions and providing information about vascular conditions and treatment options.
- Documentation:
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including surgical notes, progress reports, and treatment plans.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational documentation standards.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Current state licensure as a Physician Assistant.
- Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- Previous experience in vascular surgery or a related field is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of vascular conditions, diagnostic procedures, and treatment options.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Experience
- PA – Will consider new grad with relevant PA electives or clinical background
Certification:
- Physician Assistant Certified (PA-C) or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner certification (ACNP)
- BLS/ACLS/AED training required and accepted from:
- American Heart Association - BLS/ACLS for Healthcare Providers (CPR & AED) Program or teh American Red Cross
- No online programs from any organization will be accepted.
- DEA registration required for those with discharge responsibilities.
Posted Salary Range:USD $90.10 - USD $90.10 /Hr. :
