SSM Health is actively seeking a versatile and dynamic Floating Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team in the vibrant city of St. Louis and its surrounding areas. As a Floating NP, you will have the unique opportunity to provide healthcare services across multiple SSM Health facilities, contributing to the well-being of diverse patient populations.
Responsibilities:
- Travel between various SSM Health locations in the St. Louis region to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Conduct comprehensive health assessments, physical examinations, and screenings.
- Diagnose and treat common acute and chronic illnesses across different clinical settings.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and initiate referrals as needed.
- Adapt to different clinical environments and demonstrate flexibility in providing patient-centered care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
- Provide patient education on preventive health measures and lifestyle modifications.
Qualifications:
- Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Current Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Missouri.
- Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner or in a relevant specialty.
- Previous experience as a Nurse Practitioner preferred, but new graduates will be considered.
- Strong clinical and interpersonal skills with the ability to adapt to different clinical settings.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care.
