About the Job
The AHWFB Rheumatology Department is seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our dedicated outpatient team.

Role & Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough examinations and evaluations
- Use medical decision-making skills for patient care plans
- Collaborate with the medical team for effective care
- Order and interpret lab studies and diagnostic procedures
- Perform procedural skills per guidelines
- Participate in research projects
- Precept students and medical learners
- Uphold AHWFB missions, values, and cultural commitments
Requirements:
Physician Assistant (PA):
- Accredited PA Program graduate; Master's preferred
- Current NC Medical Board License, NCCPA Certified
- Minimum of 3 years of Rheumatology experience
Nurse Practitioner (NP):
- Accredited NP Master’s Program graduate, Master’s or higher required
- Current NC Board of Nursing RN and NP license
- Board certified as FNP by AANP or ANCC
- Minimum of 3 years of Rheumatology experience
