Job Description

UNC Health Southeastern in Lumberton, NC seeks a qualified APP for our employee health services department. Find professional and personal joy in your career, making a difference with a diverse patient population in our progressive health system.

PRIMARY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

Under the supervision of the Medical Director:

. Uses prescriptive authority, in accordance with state and federal laws and regulations, to treat illness, improve health status, and provide preventative care.

. Facilitates and makes recommendations for employment health evaluations.

. Evaluates, examines, and advises employees with various health concerns and makes recommendations and referrals, as needed.

. Provides work direction to medical assistants and nurses as needed.

. Monday-Friday, 8:00a-5:00p

. No call schedule

REQUIREMENTS

. An earned master’s degree or advanced degree of at least equivalent standard from a regionally accredited college or university

. A Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant License and a Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Registration Number

. A valid active Health Care Provider CPR card issued by an approved program

. 1+ year of experience as a PA or NP

. Must meet criteria for medical staff credentials at UNC Health Southeastern
