What you’ll do

• Recruitment & Onboarding:
  • Create job postings
  • Source Candidates
  • Conduct Culture Interviews
  • Schedule interviews
  • Attend local job fairs as needed
  • HR Analysis and Reporting
• Offboarding:
  • Facilitate termination process (communication, HRIS, IT Tickets, Reporting, etc.)
  • Unemployment administration
  • Respond to Verification of Employment requests
• Administrative Support:
  • Update employee records through HRIS
  • Maintain electronic employee files
  • Help organize and maintain HR shared folders
• Assist with Human Resources Initiatives and projects as assigned
  • Help create and administer employee recognition initiatives
  • Serve on AAQs Engagement Committee

 

  What you’ll bring

• 1-2 years related experience; prior experience in recruitment, preferred
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Professional demeanor
• Ability to handle sensitive, confidential material responsibly
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
• Ability to work both independently and cooperatively as part of a team
• Ability to work some holidays and occasionally weekends and evenings
• Knowledge of Employment Law best practices, state and federal laws preferred

• Annually salary range $45k- $53k to commensurate with experience

• Successful completion of pre-employment background check

• Ability to operate a computer and keyboard
• Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time

 

Grow U Opportunities:  

Earn a Graduate Certificate in Human Resources (6-12 months), and  Adventure Aquarium will cover up to $5,250 in tuition per year.  Alternatively, you can select from over 200 certificate and degree programs available through our GROW U program!
